Sviva IsraeI has been instrumental in motivating and activating the religious public in Israel to adopt sound environmental practices.
In order to further develop environmental activity in the religious community it is critical that we train today the next generation of environmental leaders that will act as the environments' ambassadors to the religious public.
During the Environmental Leadership Program the students learn the following topics:
Sustainable development, Ecology, and Knowledge of Animal & Plant Life.
Judaism and the Environment.
Working With Youth Groups, Group & Community Dynamics, Communication.
Setting Goals & Measuring Objectives.
Each participant is required to write a final paper on a practical topic related to Judaism and the Environment which they present to their fellow students.
Participants who successfully complete the course will share the wealth of information that they learned about the environment and serve as ambassadors in the area of sustainability to the religious sector. Outstanding graduates of the training course may find employment in our organization as staff members.
With their extensive knowledge of both environmental issues and Judaism and the Environment, graduates will be qualified to teach both religious and secular populations.
